Although they may not seem like it, rain boots are an essential item to anyones closet. You may only wear them a handful of times but boy when you need them, you need them. Not to mention you can start to use them for extra cold days and for snow and ice days, especially Hunters. Hunters to me are the BEST. The traction on the bottom plus the classic colors and Hunter logo on the front add all the little bit of chic for any rainy day outfit. But enough about the rainboots, what do you wear with them you ask? Well I've put some photos together with different outfits so there's something for everyone: the eclectic, the classy, the nautical and the outdoors.

Rain boots are out of the ordinary and so should your outfit. Here is a perfect example of an eclectic outfit with the addition of rainboots. The perfect mix of shorts plus tights make the outfit seem practical while the classic coat adds a touch of chicness.

This classic rainy day look is clean and simple. The red rain boots (which you could use any color of rain boot to make this outfit) plus the classic trench coat and black jeans are so simple yet so chic. Bound to receive many compliments on the streets

I LOVE this look. Many people might think this is a hard look to pull of but in reality its not! You don't have to have red rain boots, all you need are a pair of rain boots and a matching color scheme and you are set!  And if you aren't into pearls or high buns you can relax this outfit with a simple gold chained necklace and wavy hair pulled back in a low ponytail! This outfit is perfect for that middle of Autumn/Winter look.

Color blocking with rain boots, who would have thought? I love the orange rain boots with the bright, oversized red peacoat. And it's so easy to recreate this look with different colors: why don't you try navy blue rain boots with a purple peacoat or even black rain boots with a bright winter white coat? Simple leggings or black jeans will tone down the look and neutralize it.
{5.}
Last but not least, the nautical/country club look with rain boots. If you look closely the white lace shorts are mixed perfectly with a navy and white stripped long sleeved pullover and the Hunters. Paired with simple accessories like a watch and a ring, this look is perfect for a chilled day on the beach or even on a sailboat!

No description is really necessary for this little post. Everyone knows Olivia Palermo and everyone knows how lovely her style is and I definitely take daily inspiration from her. So enjoy some of my favorite looks from her and maybe you'll be inspired on something to wear today or tomorrow!

Home decor always is an inspiration to me for everything. From all white with a pop of color to shades of one color, I can easily look at a picture and find instant inspiration on what my next outfit will be. So I've decided to post some of my favorite home decor photos that I have found to date on Pinterest. (I know I know, I use and abuse that site) Anyways, I'll be posting home decor and food from time to time now to switch things up a little bit and will probably end up changing my blog name (again.) but hey, this is what happens all within the first year of blogging.

Proenza Schouler has quickly become one of my favorite designers for handbags and accessories. Their Fall 2011 show was so inspiring and after finding this do-it-yourself tutorial on the Seriously...WTF website, I decided I had to share. Originally, Erica of PS I Made This made a beautiful version of Proenza Schouler’s scroll necklace in white and Seriously...WTF then made it in black. So I've decide to transfer the photos and how-to from Seriously...WTF (and if you haven't already checked out the website I suggest you do, its amazing) and blog about it on here for anyone who wants to get a bit chic-crafty on a lazy Sunday afternoon! Enjoy!
You’ll need:
4 wooden decorative mouldings (which can also be found at Lowe’s)
3 chandelier ornaments or charms
9 11mm jump rings
1 can of flat black spray paint
a drill & 3/32″ split point drill bit
2 pairs of pliers
8 inches of chain & a clasp (or ribbon)
sandpaper or an emory board
Lay the mouldings on a wooden block and carefully drill holes through each marking. File away any rough edges and brush away any leftover dust.
In a well ventilated area, spray an even coat of flat black paint over the mouldings and charms. Apply a second and third coat if necessary. Let them dry completely.
Connect each piece with a jump ring using the pliers. Finish off the necklace with either 2 pieces of chain and a clasp or some ribbon.
Your Proenza Schouler inspired necklace is finished! And I bet it looks beautiful!

Every weekend I seem to find myself struggling with what wear. Weekends are all about relaxing and being casual but I believe that every girl and woman should still be fashionably chic. So I've put together what my "ideal" weekend outfit (obviously for cold wear as we are in the winter season) would be. The perfect leather jacket, skinny jeans and a pair of fabulous flats. I would love to know what your fabulous weekend wear consists of so leave a comment or message, everybody always could use a little inspiration! Happy weekend!

I've got Topshop fever, like always. And I'm obsessed with their new landing page on their website about the SS12 trends: Tough Girls, Dizzying Prints, Brightest Brights and Candy Shop Shades. Click on each of those trends and you'll find yourself immersed within the Topshop website and you can click, click, buy and buy! I know I will be making some (few) purchases this season and will definitely be posting more about each trend over the coming weeks! But hopefully you can take some inspiration like I did from this beautiful landing page! Cheers to Topshop. And while you are at it, check out the Topshop Tumblr!

This spring add a bright color to your mix. Neon colors are making a big appearance this spring and I'm excited! I need to get my hands on lots of neon accessories and a pair of shorts!

People have always told me that I don't wear bracelets and jewelry around my wrists but I wear hardware. I hardly even notice that I've gotten to the point of stacking several bracelets at one time. So I've started to simplify what I put on my wrists everyday and instead of wearing them all at once I now change it up everyday. After some (careful) consideration I've decided that these couple photos are of my favorite combinations, especially the top one. And for those of you who are a little scared to try stacking lots of bracelets this is the perfect first step to creating a chic and "in" look. So take some inspiration, go into your jewelry draw and try different combinations, you'll be amazed at the different styles that look ah-mazing together!
